Strabismus
Misaligned Eyes

The brain and the muscles of the eye control eye movement. A muscle imbalance results in strabismus, where the eyes point in different directions.

DOUBLE VISION

Children with uncorrected strabismus will eventually develop amblyopia, (loss of vision, usually in the non dominant eye). Adults with uncorrected strabismus develop double vision.

Strabismus surgery involves adjusting the muscles which control the movement of the eye.
